Jill has been an active member of her County's search and rescue team for nearly ten years with the passion to continue for many more. She is involved in nearly all aspects of the team - from field operations to the Board of Directors as well as teaching the Hug-A-Tree program to elementary students.

Jill also works as K9 Support for multiple search dog handlers in providing navigation, communications and meeting overall needs for the handlers and their dogs.

This has taken her to some amazing places and intense searches, and most importantly, allowed her, along with her teammates, to give help and closure to families of lost loved ones. Jill is an NREMT and also a Licensed Training Provider for American Red Cross as a First Aid/CPR/AED instructor as well as Remote and Wilderness First Aid.

Jill has certifications in Advanced Wilderness Expedition Provider, SAR, AWLS, and an Associate in Wilderness Medicine from the Univ. of Utah School of Medicine. Her work history of being a clinical Medical Assistant and training in medical scribing carries over to her Wilderness Medicine instructor role.

In her free time, she mostly hikes, fly-fishes, explores new places and enjoys camping and climbing as well. She also looks for any opportunity to be in or around helicopters!
